Please note that our planetarium sessions start promptly. We suggest you arrive at least 10 minutes before the show begins. Although unlikely, shows may be subject to change.

The roof of the dome housing Carter’s historic Cooke Telescope requires maintenance.  Due to the heritage status of the building and the collection it houses Carter’s first priority is to ensure that this is carried out to the highest standard. Until the maintenance is completed, Carter is pleased to be able to offer star gazing through  portable Dobsonian telescopes outside of the building.  As with all viewings this is dependent on the cloud cover and the weather. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
