Please note that our planetarium sessions start promptly. We suggest you arrive 5-10 minutes before show times.

Bookings for our planetarium shows can be made by phone on 04 910 3140, by email bookings@carterobservatory.org, or online here.

During the school term, shows and times do vary, and we suggest you check our event listing for the day you intend to visit.

During School Term

Monday - Friday: Our first show is at 11am, and our last show of the day is at 4pm.  Shows and times vary during the week. Check the event listing for the day you plan to visit, or call us at (04) 910 3140.

Please note: On Thursday 1 March 2012 our new Autumn timetable begins with shows Monday - Friday at 11am, 12:30pm and 3pm.

Additonal Shows on Late Night Tuesdays and Saturdays:

8pm: We Are Astronomers

Telescope viewing is offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays as night falls, but is weather dependent.
