Steve Wheeler, author of Burnt Ice, will address this issue from the perspective of a science fiction writer, technologist and observer of the human condition. He will explore just how extreme we are going to have to become if we are to survive the Universe outside of the habitable zone.

The evening will include a short planetarium show.
